Columbo - the wandering eye makes villains so uneasy they confess. Not even Quincy has that, although he is better at womanising.
If I can't have the Sloans, can I have Batman (60s version) and his riddle solving machine.

Ah, could be right, a sort of running mystery throughout the series. I think I remember one episode (although weren't they considered movies almost) though where he was kinda getting friendly with another lady, but possibly only for the purposes of the investigation (a little unfair perhaps). Meh, its all too long ago.
