Absolutely amazing. Now we know Largo never died after all in Thunderball, and lives on as Susy's grandfather.

Hehe, I forgot about that.

So the devout practicing christian loses an eye, and he says *Islam* is a dangerous religion? ¦^)

Uncle Bob is just a younger version of Susy's Grandpa, before he went on the secret mission where he lost his eye.

Meh! The fact that her grandpa had eye patch must've set off alarm bells...

I've seen most of it all before.
If you ever get the chance to read the two books "Shock of your life" and "Aftershock" do so. Find out why it's common sense to be a Christian and why everyone else burns in hell...
It's kind of depressing because you get quite attached to some of the characters the author condemns to eternal damnation. :'(

It's a shame because most of these people tend to be really nice in every way except for their attitude towards other beliefs. If you met Forest in real life and the subject of religion wasn't brought up, the odds are that you'd think him a charmer. :-)

Perhaps it was causing him to sin. After all, if an eye causes you to sin then it is better to gouge it out and enter the kingdom of heaven blind rather than spend an eternity in hell. Jesus said so. :-)

It's funny to note that the bible claims some of the early people in it live to around 800 years old. Almost as good as the claim that Adam was 90 feet tall :-).

I'd imagine so, considering they're christian books, written for christians, by a christian.

It would be kinda funny if they were advocating Islam.......

Isn't the bible the best way to "Find out why it's common sense to be a Christian and why everyone else burns in hell"?

Hmm, seems reasonably fair to say Mohammad was a paedolphile. It's in The Hadith: he took a liking to a girl of six, had sex with her when she was nine.

So yes, the cartoon didn't mention that it was (probably) standard practice at that time, but it still ain't right, even if it was a cultural norm.
