It's already illegal? That's why they're rated 18, right?

In reply to Hedfix i think people do have a valid point.
If toy guns killed people like Guns do in games (tecknically still a toy) then they wouldent let them play with them.
If a dolly had a kill the baby mode, it wouldent be suitable for children, or personally i wouldent want a kid of my own playing with it.

That's pretty harmless though, unless you do it off the edge of a cliff or something (to LL).

"Unlike movies where you passively watch violence, in a video game, you are the active participant and making decisions on who to stab, maim, burn or kill," said Assemblyman Yee. "As a result, these games serve as learning tools that have a dramatic impact on our children."

Right...

So they can go on pretending with fake guns, paintball, AD&D etc but some computer games will warp their fragile little minds?

The child is also an idiot if they think that copying the game is good idea. I was playing Mortal Kombat at a very early age but it didn't persuade me to go and throw ice at people, pretending to be Sub-Zero.

Maybe they should do what they did when Power Rangers was on TV and get Mr Motivator to say, "Remember kids, these stunts are all done by trained professionals. Do not try this at home!" Worked on me, so all they have to do is put Mr Motivator in every violent game, randomly poipping up with safety warnings.

I don't think most games are graphic enough to cover anything but a 12 rating if we're honest.

A weekly issue of 2000AD contains more graphic violence than most tiles.

Obviously stuff like Silent Hill and Manhunt are a little bit nasty but GTA's just a cartoon joke that maybe deserves a 15 rating at the most.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
