But I find it rather ironic that one minute he's insisting he won't play the "blame game", the next he's heading up the enquiry into where failings occurred. And he doesn't seem to think people will see through this absurdly obvious conflict of interests?

You have to pity him a bit though it must be partly to do with his genes. His mother Barbera Bush has said that most people are now better off as they were living in squalor before the hurricane struck and now they've been moved out to other states they'll be in better living conditions.

It is possible that it had been there a few weeks, but I was unsure as to what a shoe was until about 35 minutes ago. Hurricane Katrina is a direct act of terrorism and we will bring those terrorists to justice in the months to come.
