England squad:

Michael Vaughan (captain)
James Anderson
Ian Bell
Paul Collingwood
Andrew Flintoff
Ashley Giles
Stephen Harmison
Matthew Hoggard
Geraint Jones
Simon Jones
Kevin Pietersen
Andrew Strauss
Marcus Trescothick

Get fit soon Simon Jones!

Hopefully England will still be attacking and go for the win rather than defend to try and get a draw, I think they're more likely to succeed this way.

I'd agree that in place of Jones, Collingwood would be perfect. Bearing in mind we only need to draw the fifth test to win the Ashes, it's the clear choice. In other words, runs are more important than wickets in this scenario.

Me too.

Anderson tries too hard and his form suffers as a result.

Anderson as been on average for just like Tremlett. If Jones can't play I'd vote Collingwood to go in.

we have got to bat first or warney will rip us apart. Pietersen has been in poor form throughout virtually all of the last 3 tests, but did brilliant when we lost :( Oh, and we've got to play jimmy, he's been quality for lancashire. Also, get rid of geraint, bring in jamie foster or chris read, he's the new steve rhodes :)

Very true. Don't think Geriant Jones has dropped that many this series behind the wicket!

Not in the field - He's dropped six catches in his test career and hasn't caught any.

Well, to mix it up you'd bring on spin bowlers, Giles or Vaughan.

Fingers crossed Pietersen will play better than he did for Hampshire yesterday. He's had a great start but needs to find a bit more form as he's the one the Aussies are most afraid of when he's on form.

Collingwood can still bowl though. We already have three good seamers and then Collingwood could be a fourth if they aren't performing or he can just have a short spell to mix it up. Also if we bat first and have an extra batter we can put on a bigger total for the Aussies to chase with him.

Yes I agree. Anderson is a bit immature and won't perform under pressure like the rest of the team can.
