Haven't you heard? He bases all his opinions on a game. If that.

Yep. On a reduced wage, as well. I don't understand this transfer either.

Manchester United or Arsenal......reduced wage at Viola....Yes, I see now.

Oh and Bonera, if I recall, played the full game against Scotland earlier this year in Milan. I rather enjoyed that match as well.

Rafa still has Cisse, who can run the ball around a bit.

To be honest he does do a lot of defending... but that's the champions league all over. He isn't afraid to attack though when he needs to, look at the champions league final for proof.

I know what you mean, you want Owen, you wanted Figo... you wanted a host of big names. And who did you get? Squad players like Zenden and Crouch. But then Zenden and Crouch are actually really well suited to Benitez's game and they'll both shine under his style.

Crouch is a better player in the world of Benitez than Owen... and if he bought Owen then he'll have to re-think an awful lot.

Bonera has very few caps for Italy, so I doubt you've seen more than a game. Not something to base an opinion on.

Are you sure about Frey, Stryke? I thought he went permanently as well...

I've said, on many occasions, that he defended his way to the European cup.

The days of glory are back, so I've heard. But in the days of glory, King Kenny and crew used to love to attack. All the time. Benitez shackles his attacking talent.

Remember Drogba complained about being forced to defend by Jose? I'm surprised the entire team doesn't come out with outbursts like that.

And his big promise after the Cup. Worldclass players. Easier to attract the big boys of Europe.

Well done, Rafa, you've signed a bunch of rejects and honeysuckle is starting to grow up your £7 million man. No, don't move it, Zenden likes the smell.

And now, he's missed out on the chance to bring someone back to the club who knows what it actually means to play for Liverpool, someone who the Kop loves, someone who can address that pesky habit of not scoring goals that our strikers seem to have picked up.

So, yeah, I'll spit a little bit of vemon in his piella.

But the heart attack comments might be a little too far, admittedly.

Edit: To Ant.

To Dringo, how many times, exactly, have you seen him for Italy? In Euro 2004, he didn't get a single minute. Before that, too young for tournaments. Qualifying matches and friendlies - they played Wales (he didn't) and Scotland. I didn't see the Scotland match, but Nesta and Cannavaro are first choice, so he'll have got a cameo.

So you can have seen him for 20 minutes, approximately. But hey, you thought Luque looked 'sharp for the season' after 1 match, so 20 minutes is plenty of time for you to assess him with your brilliant football mind.

I'm going to have my steak now.

I've seen him kick a ball about for Italy. But not for Parma, although I read the reports about Chelsea's one time interest.

I also know that.

No, really? I thought Fiorentina came up with the cash in the end? Well either way, he hasn't played for Parma in a while.

I admit Benitez has his failings (having Crouch instead of Owen being one of them), and I know what you're like Strykester (heh), but the level of vehement hatred you show toward a man who led us to become Champions of Europe surprises even I.

That's not a pop at you, really, although I do think he'd be looking a bit stupid if he'd splashed out sixteen million on Owen after selling him for eight only last year.

To be honest, my opinion on the squad he has put together will form after the next 2 Premiership games...if we don't win both, we're already way behind the leaders, which would be rather disappointing...

EDIT - And that "eight" is not a mistake. Benitez sold him for £8 and a taco.

And Frey was sold to Fiorentina a few months ago.
