Do you watch a different Liverpool? Only strikers that have 'suited' Liverpool in recent years have been Fowler and Owen. Who they've just passed up on (and rightly so).

Liverpool are what I call a midfeild team, much like Chelsea - if they're going to get goals, it's all going to be about the midfeilders rather than the individual flair of say Henry or Rooney.

Which will never happen. Because he's been overpriced for the 2nd time in his career, and he is, in fact, rubbish.

They're both old, mind. Well, Cannavaro is, so he's got to keel over and die at some point. Isn't Matteo Ferrari favoured over Bonera anyway?

Whereas Crouch will be behind Mikey, Rooney, Defoe, Smith, Johnson and now Bent. Which is excellent news, maybe he'll break a leg :)

You can't base opinions on what commentators say.

Start more Italy games? It would be like playing Crouch in the USA tour - just humouring him, as there's no way he'll get in ahead of Nesta and Cannavaro.

I meant Luque, in his debut game for Newcastle looked sharp.

And during the Italy/Scotland game the commentators talked about him being wanted by Chelsea and a few serie A clubs and how he should start more Italy games as he is a brilliant defender.

They seem to be on the up, and free-spending.

Maybe he doesn't want to leave Italy?

Does it not strike you as an odd transfer? Surely Fiorentina is a club of comparable size to Parma, and I thought the big guns were out to get him. He's a Champions League quality 'keeper, that's the vibe I'd picked up.

I think this is what I read that confused me, I just assumed they'd have sorted out his long-term transfer by now
