But are they better than Gerrard, Alonso, Riise etc? I think not.

I can see why United would want Owen however I can't for the life of me work out why they'd want Rafa =P

Oh, that'd be a dream come true, it really would. The look on that fatsack's face as his Crouch once again fails him. Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll have a heart attack.
My fantasy for Newcastle vs Liverpool would be for Newcastle to kick off, and for Stevie and Carra to clear the way to goal for him. Owen slots past Reina, celebrates with Stevie and Carra, and then they all walk up to Rafa and hit him.
"How's that for a transfer request?" says Stevie/Carra
"Very good!" says Jose from the stands, waving a contract for the both of them.
And then Rafa has a heart attack. Basically, any situation in which Rafa has a heart attack is good.
Maybe the Kop can raid the pitch and kill him.

If Henry was to leave the Arsenal I'd be doing cartwheel's around the room, if truth be told!
They'd play well together. Arsenal would really benefit from having a striker in the box. Personally I'm glad he didn't go to either Arsenal or Chelsea, but I can see how he would have benefitted those teams. Man Utd already have a wealth of striking talent, Liverpool seemingly didn't want to take a backwards step at a loss.
What would really make the season great would be Newcastle pipping Liverpool to 4th place in the league this year. Whilst Peter Crouch is missing sitter after sitter at Fratton park on the last day of the season, Owen will pinch a goal to beat Chelsea 1 - 0 at SJP, not only allowing Newcastle to move above Liverpool at the last minute, but also allowing Man Utd to go above Chelsea on the last day as they knock 12 past Charlton, who are already on holiday. Apart from Bent, who's ready for the world cup and plays a blinding game, only to be thwarted time and again by an amazing displaying of goalkeeping by Van Der Sar, who won't have conceded a goal all season...

Baptista can play in midfield and up front.
