The rules:

Enter as many times as you like, and it can be as long as you like, but if I'm not interested by the time I have to scroll down the screen, I won't read the rest.

I'll judge on the weekend of the 10th/11th, so entries in before then please.

And the topic is:

Blood in the snow

That doesn't mean it has to be about murder and mutilation, by the way. Or self-harming. I won't read any stories that go "I cut myself because I am sad, and I want attention," but if they're forced to harm themselves for other reasons, gnaw off an arm to free themselves from a wreckage, for instance, that's okay.

RESULTS

Fantastic entries, very high standard this time, many were a joy to read. Had trouble picking a winner from the last three, all of which were very strong. Special mention for Styke for mocking self-harming. 4 REAL.

Runners up:

tnc: - Noble trades are no more
FFF: - Escape

Winner:

unknown kernel: - At the Bottom of a Flask

Then that's two of us who missed it.

With that in mind I wondered who all the entries were from - I've just skimmed down the list and I can honestly say I'm glad I'm not Meka. I haven't had time to read any entries yet but imagine that'll teach him to put you can enter as many times as you like :D

It's over already? I had a cute story in my head for this as well. The time has just flown between comps this time.

I'm going to start reading now.

But I won't get through them all in one go. Because I've only got a little time now before I have some stuff to do.

But they'll all be read over the weekend.

Mine's complete crap. I really need to learn how to plan a story otherwise I'll continue to end up with a bit of a mess with no real point to it.

Aha. Mine has come out again, just as always. Written in a very strange manner indeed and with quite the twist. Like always it won't win, because it's not perfect English or a complete story technique. But it will no doubt amuse, entertain and open some minds of those who read it.
