Or do you need yet another thread to show off how much you know about metal? ;)

Personally I'm more into punk, I never really know what counts as metal, although I may have some in my collection but be unaware of it lol.

I agree, but this paticular war has been going on for ages.

It's stupid to compare genres. It's like comparing a chalk drawing to a painting. There similar, but at the same time totally different. You can only compare bands, but theres obviously loads of class punk bands who are better than the majority of metal bands, and loads of fantastic metal bands who are better than the majority of punk bands.
