May as well get one started...

Solid start by England, with Pieterson and Freddie to come looks like we may score well. Depends how much Warne exploits the pitch this afternoon.

Quite surprising both Lee and McGrath are playing...however knowing the Aussies they were probably fit all along!

I could see Hoggard was going to be dismissed the second he stepped up to the crease. But nevermind. We've still got a very respectable score with 5 wickets still to go.

As long as we don't fold under the pressure, as has happened in the past, we should coast to > 400.

England make such poor decisions sometimes, why bring in Hoggard as night watchman? he is useless with the bat as it is and wasn't really going to survive till tommorow. They would have been better off bringing in Giles or Simon Jones to do that job because they are half decent with the bat at least. Losing another wicket just adds pressure to the situation.

I also think McGrath rushed himself a bit.

He started well enough but was seriously lacking sharpness towards the end. I think he was averaging about 75 mph in his last over. Lee, however, looked absolutely fine.

Nice that Vaughan and Bell managed to silence their critics. Now we just need Jones to make some runs and weave some magic with the gloves and the England team will be riding a wave of untouchable confidence.

Not bothered about Hoggard really, he can't be blamed - the only disappointments really were Strauss out for 6 and Pietersen for 21. Vaughan and Bell pretty much chose the perfect time to hit form.

Not really, we fell a tad quickly towards the end, but 341-5 is great, if we can get another 200 runs from the last 4 (including dear old freddie), the aussies will be under the pressure.

We're doing very well. I think we might be able to get 450+ which will be great. Just hope it's overcast when the Aussies are next to bat.

we are on 341-5 so that isnt to bad as in our last test we got 400 odd. so we still have super freedy flintoff to put our runs even higher
