Welcome to Sports Longest Thread

The sports forum is a great place to be but doesn't have much going on all the time, plus every other forum has one so why can't we?

Maybe with all the replies things will look much more popular

Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest footbal match, to the next Olympic games, or even just the usual chat that happens all over.

If anyone else tries to copy this you will fail miserably and i will be forced to laugh at you.

Oh and no spaming or text talk its not liked by anyone and it isn't funny to spam.

Tells you what extras will be on the 2006 game. Like the idea of negotiating with the board.

Pfft. If you guys want a challenge try taking control of Cambridge. £500k in debt, no money for transfers, a max of £1.2k for wages for any player and with the majority of the players contracts running out after the first season.

I won promotion in my first season and would've made it two in a row if I hadn'y sabotaged our promotion push in the second season. WE couldn't've coped in the Championship and I didn't want to lose my job :-)

Nah, I don't like the thought of having an all-Belgium central defence :-D Vanden Borre's better than Kompany anyway. And cheaper. You can get him for £500k at the start. Still only £700k even if you take the direct route.

If you're a smaller club in Division 1 or 2 then Richard Witschge is a great buy for a one or two season wonder until you get some better younger guys in. When i played as Sheff Wednesday he was getting 8 and 9's every game and seemed to get at least one assist a game.

Always get him too.

There are a few others but can't remember all of them.

Sniejder
Deisler
Van Bommel
Adu -------- young
Vanden Borre -- young

Stekelenburg - best keeper on there, think he plays for PSV or Ajax

oh, and Kompany as a defender

Nah. For price rocketing you want Sebastian Deisler. You can usually get him at the end of the first season for about £6m. After two seasons with my Liverpool team he's now worth £27m and is the subject of interest from Inter, Barcelona, Man Utd, Arsenal and Real Madrid. Not only that, he's fecking *quality*. Average rating of >8 and a ridiculously high assist/game ratio.

Sneijder is a class player to buy at the start of the season. His price will just rocket afterwards.
