The trouble is, I don't know where to look nowadays. Special Reserve used to have some decent prices on sim-free phones, but now they're all gone.
I'm finally going to enter this 'new generation' and all that, but I still want a fairly bog-standard text-and-call phone, you know?
All the very basic neccesities, plus a camera and adaptability with polyphonic ringtones (although I normally leave my phone on silent anyway, I've had more than enough of 'bleep-bleep-bleep, bleep-bleep, BLEEEEEEEEEP').
I'd rather stick to buying on-line, since I don't want to negotiate a contract or anything and I'd prefer to keep my own sim card, if I can (at the very least, to stick with Vodafone).
Where are the best places to look, on-line, these days then?
Here are a few I have come across in my travels though:
http://www.play.com/play247.asp?pa=search&searchtype=ELEC&searchstring=nokia+6100&page=search for the Nokia 6100. No camera??

What does it mean, 'camera can be purchased seperately'?

The price is a little off-putting for me, but damn, it's quite tempting...

I like the price, but I think the phone's quite ugly; I hate flip-up phones like this. Don't think it has a camera either?
http://www.cheapphonesonline.co.uk/?submitted=yes&o=2&q=nokia+7250 for the Nokia 7250i.
This is probably my favourite of the lot. It seems to have all I want, the price seems good - but what about the retailer? Who the heck are they!?
I think SR used to sell this one.
I'd like some opinions of these phones, please. Or, if you know of any better, I'd appreciate any suggestions. I'm mainly looking at Nokia phones because I trust them. Their prices aren't too high, and, frankly, I don't seem them of as much of a 'chav phone' anymore - unlike Motorola!
If you can find me better prices - even better!
Thanks very much for your time in reading this, and your help. :)

Don't you ave' 2 decide when you topup how you want to divide the amount between calls & text?
TO be honest I wasn't really expecting it until yesterday/tomorrow anyway, but more tommorrow, because that way I wouldn't be disappointed come yesterday morning (which I was, anyway).

3-7 days I think. RM are usually far lazier on the 2nd class, hell it may even get lost in post. :)
Finally I upgraded at my Birthday for a phone that I really deemed to be worth it; the NEC 338. It was £90 from Comet and has many of the good features such as being able to play games, taking photos, and taking videos
It's quite a nice looking flip-phone and was "a snip" at £90 (considering I bought it 5 months ago it's probably even less)

Here's a relatively detailed picture http://www.threemobilephones.com/images/handsets/nec-338.jpg and the official stats are located http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.threemobilephones.com/images/handsets/nec-338.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.threemobilephones.com/handsets/NEC-338/index.php&h=250&w=395&sz=11&tbnid=pIvruO1R7E8J:&tbnh=75&tbnw=120&hl=en&start=2&prev=/images%3Fq%3DNEC%2B338%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26safe%3Doff

gordenisagaybys! Oh here you are mate I've been trying to get hold of you for about a week. I got a load of mmc card questions I gotta ask you when your not busy...
You need to be connected to GPRS, and enter the station code into your phone (a 10 digit number I think) you get the codes when looking for a radio station on your phone.
When you've done that it is a bit like digital radio, it will tell you what station it is, who the presenter is, any competitions they are running and if supported, what the name of the music being played is called
Also, how long would you think second class delivery usually take from Middlesex (I've no idea where that is), to Glasgow?
And when (if) you do get the phone, tell me what the visual radio function does.
