The trouble is, I don't know where to look nowadays. Special Reserve used to have some decent prices on sim-free phones, but now they're all gone.
I'm finally going to enter this 'new generation' and all that, but I still want a fairly bog-standard text-and-call phone, you know?
All the very basic neccesities, plus a camera and adaptability with polyphonic ringtones (although I normally leave my phone on silent anyway, I've had more than enough of 'bleep-bleep-bleep, bleep-bleep, BLEEEEEEEEEP').
I'd rather stick to buying on-line, since I don't want to negotiate a contract or anything and I'd prefer to keep my own sim card, if I can (at the very least, to stick with Vodafone).
Where are the best places to look, on-line, these days then?
Here are a few I have come across in my travels though:

What does it mean, 'camera can be purchased seperately'?

The price is a little off-putting for me, but damn, it's quite tempting...

I like the price, but I think the phone's quite ugly; I hate flip-up phones like this. Don't think it has a camera either?

This is probably my favourite of the lot. It seems to have all I want, the price seems good - but what about the retailer? Who the heck are they!?
I think SR used to sell this one.
I'd like some opinions of these phones, please. Or, if you know of any better, I'd appreciate any suggestions. I'm mainly looking at Nokia phones because I trust them. Their prices aren't too high, and, frankly, I don't seem them of as much of a 'chav phone' anymore - unlike Motorola!
If you can find me better prices - even better!
Thanks very much for your time in reading this, and your help. :)
All of the accounts which left positive feedback hadn't made a transaction in like 3 years, the same with the one I bought it from, and one of the negativer comment said "He steals peoples accounts".
So yeah, i think that's what's happened.
I paid by electronic transfer through the TSB website though, so I have proof of transfer at least, and I'll have to claim on eBay, which'll only get me 105 pounds back "We give you 120 quid, but there's a 15 pound processing fee, so yeah, we really only give you £105"
It's twenty pounds less than what I spent, but at least it's not too much.
:-(
Or not. Hopefully you paid by cheque/paypal though.
This guy has gone from a 100% record of good feedback over 5 years (more than 300) to having 5 negative feedback over the last few days and "no longer a registered ebay user" next to his name.
Crap.
Whether you could link a camera up to it or if it's a specialised accesory I have no idea

Exactly what it says?

Yes, not that anyone has any idea what it's for

Yeah, but that's an advantage rather than a disadvantage to be honest
Basically it all depends on your preferences (gays get a raw deal), if you prefer texting then you'd want the "Add Text" and the same goes for calls. If, like me, you want to spend it downloading, calling and texting then you can now get "Add Everything"
The harshest scheme is the Add-Ons, I thought they'd introduced £20 top-ups rather than the obligatory £15's. Instead you have to have an "Active top-up" (existing credit for those not following 3-speaks' buzzwords) Really rendering it slightly pointless, good for when you don't want to spend £15 everytime though
3 seem to want money for everything. Although their browser is free it even costs 25p to look at your location, it's not worth testing how accurate it is. They'd charge you for storing numbers if they could
That might explain why I didn't get any mail today (any excuse for lazy postmen).
