Turns out that the deal for Robinho is never going to happen due to the confusion over the amount of money Real Madrid would have to pay to Santos.

So instead they've opted to sign Julio Baptista. Admittedly only Marca seem to have picked up this so far, but by what they're writing, it seems pretty much like a done deal for 20 million Euros.

Edit - just confirmed on the BBC. £13.8 million to Sevilla, and Baptista signs for Real.

Considering the topic of the defence was still going by the time i had made my comment and there wasn't a full blown serious discussion going on *considering Stryke was discussing Robinho inbetween and talking about kidnapping his mum again* i don't see how my joke was made "long after the time". Was just a tounge in cheek comment, bit of light humour related to the topic somewhat
