Anyone else planning to get this?

As mentioned by Lipe in another topic, you can download a demo off the Sports Interactive site, which gives you all the English and Scottish leagues to play with for the first 6 months, which isn't bad at all.

You get some weird results though - I just beat Arsenal 6-1 with Chelsea (we can only hope, hey?) and also it's generally pretty hard to score.

Good fun though, looking forward to the full game.

It looks good to me, at least not quite as overcomplicated as its predecessor. If I get enough money for my Birthday (Which is 2 days after the new release date, handily) this may be one of several purchases.

If the new CM turns out to be better, however, I will be pretty surprised. Without Sports Interactive's databases etc, the game may become weak. But it's a case of wait and see here.

Well, the sigames website (the makers of Football Manager) are saying that because of some European countries releasing the game early without consent, they have brought forward the release date to the 4th November.

It's alright it starts to feel a chore after a while, you have to make a few changes here and there and then the computer simulates the game hmm. The Novelty has probably worn off for me unless I decide to give this one last try as I've heard many people saying that the old Champ Man's were better.
The occasional occurance of ridiculous scorelines doesn't really help hopefully they've fixed it.

I dunno, I just got an e-mail from SR (you probably got it too) and near the end it said that FM 2005 would be out on the 5th November.

I've downloaded the quality demo, but my PC is a bit old (P2 333mhz) and although the demo works on it fine...what spec will FM require?
