If you can name one decent dramatic role he's done since Ronin (1998!) then I'll give you a biscuit. Click above for more reasons why Bobby doesn't deserve our reverence any more.

Sam isn't the most memorable name. I love Ronin, really do, and think De Niro is great in it. Probably just me, though, not that many Ronin fans knocking about.
Ronin = good film
De Niro in it = ???
Honestly don't remember his character's name, or what he did. But then I haven't seen it for a while.
Get it together, Snuggers, you're slipping.
Ronin is awesome, incidentally. APart from Raging Bull, it's his best film (I think).
It even survives having a star so appallingly bad at acting that they make him play a mouth organ in lieu of delivering lines...

It's excellent, one of those epic classics that doesn't, in fact, suck.
Like Apocalypse Now or 2001 or Heaven's Gate.

Haha, I only just watched Raging Bull recently, and it inspired me to write this. Remember the guy that was willing to gain 60 pounds for a role? He's still willing to gain weight, but it's not for any movies.
Still yet to see Once Upon A Time In America, it's on my list.
