Apologies for starting so many topics, I'll stop now, honest. I just wanted to make it known how much I LOVE this transfer. Luis Figo is a god, we all know this.

And Carra has signed a new contract.

Ooh-hoo-ha-ha, happy happy happy week (since U-Turn Wednesday) for me so far.

Friday - We sign Nesta
Saturday - We sign Rosicky
Sunday - "It was a joke, we haven't really signed you, get out of Melwood, Zenden!"

Well infact I do have a satellite dish tracker (which of course is illegal) at my home and I can watch football from most places in Europe hell I can watch Arabian football if I wish and ever since I heard about Reina links I try and watch as many of their games as possible. This follows suit to any player we are linked with throughout the season. I will also have you know that Sissoko played a lot of first team football before he suffered a serious injury last season which kept him out of the team. So yes I do happen to watch many, many spanish matches. Thank you.

Yeah, right. You've got two options.

1) I believe you, and this means you have absolutely no life and spend your time watching football.
2) I don't believe you. You're talking poo. This is what I believe.

Other points of interest - Jose Reina was only linked to us about a month and half ago.

Back to the important issue here - I like the way they always use the clubs nickname, as in the examples above. And it's always so vague, that you have to click on it to see if the story has any relevance or not.

Today we have a couple of gems on there:

Barnet eye three more
Reds land African
Trio hunt Mulryne
Owls win Coughlan race

excellent.

Gonzales can play left back... anywhere on the left side.

Figo would be a great buy. He is world class... like Gerrard and Morientes... and Kewell if he can stop himself becoming Viduka.

Looks like Liverpool are gunning for Gallas now. That'll be a decent buy.

Gonzales, Reina, Zenden, Gallas, Figo...

I'd be a chuffed Liverpool supporter me (am fast becoming one).

I tend to watch at least 3 football matches a week usually 2 Spanish and whatever liverpool match is on. A point of interest - Reina has been linked since the end of April/eginning of May making it roughly 2 and a bit months and within that time I have seen him play quite a few times. he kept well over 20 clean sheets last season and saved 7/9 penalties. The all knowing Guillem Balague rates him as "probably the best goalie in Spain." Benitez rates him as "the best goalie in Spain, if not the world" This is good enough for me and I trust both of these peoples judgements and the stats speak for themselves.

I admit I only really seen Sissoko play a few times at the beginning at the season when I was watching Valencia. I was watching for Aimar and Vicente and Sissoko caught my eye as a real talent.

In other news:

I was watchin Sky Sports a few minutes ago and Guillem Balague reckons Figo will sign by the end of the week and he says Real are likely to give up asking for money as long as Liverpool pay all his wages.

He also says we are not likely to sign Milito as Zaragoza want too much money.

They do show a few other matches that don't include Real or Barca. I saw Villareal against Bilbao towards the end of the season, I think Villareal won 3-1.

Reina is awful on Pro Evo though, I only realised when I came to transfer him - keeper skill stat is 78. The reserve keeper is better, and in fact is now the only one they have on PES4.

And on Figo: you can have him, he's a slow moving diver these days. Mostly. Quite amusing, though, that Real payed 50 million for him and now Liverpool refuse to pay 2 million.

One of the few times where the player rating is wrong I feel.

He is indeed slower than he used to be but he has a great footballing mind, can still deliver a good cross and isn't too shabby at deadball situations. On the rare occassions he did play last season he was one of Madrids better players.

Hell yeah, he's much better than that.

True, he has delivered some good through balls and got a few assists when he came on as a sub towards the end of last season, but it felt to me like he was trying hard to get his first team place back. It's not really fair to say that he didn't play much last season, because he was a first team regular until the second match with Barca, and that was, what, April?

I take pride from that, thank you! {:)

Anyway, Lipe, as far as I know Baptista is a central midfielder, and certainly not a striker...not such an impressive smartass comment from you this time. :P

I'd still like a bit of Figo, especially if it's his 'dream' to play for us. If not though, I ain't too bothered. After all, we can boast the might of Harry Harry Harry Harry Keweeeelll.
