Apologies for starting so many topics, I'll stop now, honest. I just wanted to make it known how much I LOVE this transfer. Luis Figo is a god, we all know this.
And Carra has signed a new contract.
Ooh-hoo-ha-ha, happy happy happy week (since U-Turn Wednesday) for me so far.
Friday - We sign Nesta
Saturday - We sign Rosicky
Sunday - "It was a joke, we haven't really signed you, get out of Melwood, Zenden!"

Fills me with confidence, that does.
Blank - why why why? Solari isn't anywhere near as good as Figo. You're surely just going on the age issue. Right?

Have Inter signed Figo yet?
Crouch is overpriced (as much as you sold Owen) but then he is tall and can head the balls down for Cisse to drill in. Baros is built for Spain and not the Premiership and Crouch and Cisse would be a good match up.
Zenden or Smicer? I know what I'd pick. Zenden is a quality player and you got him on a free. A funking free! If I was Liverpool I'd snap him up.
End.

I don't think you quite understand. What you just said is basically:
Stryke: Dringo, you should have more faith in your lawyer than you currently do.
Dringo: I do have more faith in my lawyer than I currently do.
Anyway, from Liverpool's point of view, even at his age, there still getting a decent player who can do a good job on the right-wing. He's comfortable there. He's seen and done it all before...
He is not Antonio Nunez, and the left-footed Garcia really would benefit from playing in a more central role (perhaps supporting Baros/Crouch?).
Speaking of Crouch, that signing's a very strange one for me. No, not because he's probably never even BEEN to Spain...
If Liverpool really want to be heading in the right kind of direction to give teams like Man United, Arsenal and then even Chelsea a real push for their glory, then shouldn't they be signing PROVEN top-draw talent from around the globe? And if they feel like going British, is Peter Crouch really the best option available for a team "on the rise"?
I mean no disrespect to the man. I even thought he did quite well in his international debut over in the US. But, come on! This is a player fresh from SOUTHAMPTON! Portsmouth didn't want him! Aston Villa let him go! And before that, he was halfway down the football league!
One above-average season in the top-flight, abnormal heaight and a sack full of goals to go with it... I dread to say it, but he could turn out to be another Michael Ricketts!
Of course, he'd be the ideal target-man - but is that how Benitez - a "continental" manager - would want his team to play?
Can he really hack it in Europe, should Baros leave and Morientes limp off for 6 months?
Then again, this is all provided he actually completes an £8m move this week.
But the simple fact is, this guy is not a new Wayne Rooney.

I do.
