Well, it has according to Sky News, the news vulture network. Huge red banners and claxons fill your eyes and ears whenever you skip past that channel. From a more reliable source (BBC News), I see there have been power surges and small explosions, which naturally have affected services.
This quote made me chortle:
"As I walked through the bus station I could see people lying on the ground, black, as if they'd been covered in smoke."
Obviously an out-of-towner.
Enjoy your day off work millions of Londoners!

Charles Clarke has said the Tube will stay shut for the rest of today. I'd say it's very unlikely there'd be more explosions, all the tube stations are being searched and controlled explosions are being carried out.
Having gone through on 9/11 what others are going through at the moment trying to contact their family members and friends i know how worried and anxious you must be and i hope they are all safe and well
People are going to avoiding it for a while out of fear - although I'm due in town on Saturday and hope it's running ok by then.
I have no intention of letting whichever group committed this curtail my life because, as Bush said a couple of weeks after 9/11, "that would be letting them win"

Well, they're going to want to get it up and running again asap, so that people can start to leave london.

Because, of course, there are still going to be thousands of people on the tubes and buses in the rush hour this evening.

Because of course, there's no rush hour at the end of the day, is there...

No they said it's highly unlikely.
