I was walking along and there was this crippity crip in an electric wheelchair being guided along across the grass.

At this point I jumped over the small wall and ran across the grass, and we made direct eye contact as we passed.
Their face seemed to be full of envy at my;

walking
jumping
travelling across grass without getting stuck

I was having a stroll in Nottingham today, and glanced to my left.

On the road, there was a minibus slowly sauntering along.

And you know what it said on the side?

"Variety Club Sunshine Bus"

You can guess the passengers who were sitting inside.

I giggled, shamefully.

Looking into it, yes. They do levers for accelerator and brakes (bottom of the page http://www.steeringdevelopments.co.uk/DrivingControls/Joystick.htm ) or complete accelerator/brake/steering control on a single stick (same link, top of the page).

Also found this company who offer more options: http://www.dsp-mobilityelectronics.com/electronic_driving_controls_primary.html

So you actually are getting a joystick for your car?

I don't get it.
Surely that'd be difficult to drive - there's no steering wheel etc.

I would audition but I don't think i could be evil enough to be a Bond villain.

I don't have a cat, either.

You said I shouldn't be angry and then listed a few details why - I simply added onto the end of the list. No sarcasm. No offence. Just a continuation.

Funny that, I was going to suggest we should have one as the next Bond villain.
