Can anyone explain what you do in general studies? I'm curious.

Well we all know what happens to people who go to Cambridge :P

But what do you do? What do you study?

What do you exactly do in general studies? For example, can you explain one example of a question?

in an exam i
1) look at the paper
2) cry
3) try and do it

Tomorrow sees the return of general studies, the most pointless exam ever. but it does mean a welcome return to the genral studies challenge, as there is +ve marking they cant take marks off for the following:
5 points per emoticon
50 points for a page in landscape
10 points per swastika
10 points per racial slur
10 points per rhyming couplet
100 points for abusing the examiner (5 points + for each swear)
100 points for a spirally written page
5000 points for a spirally/landscape page with swastikas replacing the letter E)
2×multiplier overall for a B
3×multiplier for an A
5×multiplier for a 100% (oh yeah, three of these made me a runner up in GS AS - the winner was someone who did each of the 50+ challendges with a A multiplier)

these are some of the components of the GS challenge. Full rules can be found on the common room notice board.

AQA give students the UMS points, which add up to 600. In addition to that they give the teachers the Raw marks, which our teachers show us as well, just for bragging rights of course...

Personally, I think they should just leave the exam marks alone. They just edit them to make their own work easier, so the smarter students suffer at the expense of the lazy ones.
