How things change. This time last year I was in a job I really didn’t like, miserable, lonely and wondering just what to do with myself.

1 year later and I’m moving in with the lass I love. Yes, my career is still all over the place, (bloody fire service, how about actually recruiting?} But I really don’t care. I know what you’re thinking, “neither do we”, right? Well good for you.

Where were you a year ago and where do you see yourselves in a year’s time?

1 year ago= Sex starved, single, badly paid temp waiting to go into Uni
1 year later = Very muchly laid, very muchly single still very skint (but happy) student

This time next year I should be making some wedding plans.

1 yr ago = sickeningly loved up at meeting the new Mrs Light
1 yr from now = I neither know nor care.

A year ago i was enjoying the delights of big brother 5. And getting ready for my AS exams. This time next year, i could be in uni or somewhere else. Who knows.

I was just leaving college, preparing to hand in my notice at my weekend job and go to Sussex Uni to do Film Studies. Since then I've managed to get into the local filmmaking circle and work on three films, write my first feature script (plus have four incomplete projects), and slaved away in two different branches of WHSmith.

Last year: beginning the evils of coursework, not summoned up the courage to tell the girl i like about my feelings
Now: sitting GCSEs, summoned up courage. Looking forward to the most awesome summer ever.
Later: A-Levels? Time machine?
