Defoe is far much better than Owen any day, so it doesn't count as a loss for England to have him playing instead of Owen

Defoe will most probably be starting England's next World Cup qualifier against Wales, as Owen is suspended. See what happens then.

It's funny when he does it for England.

I turned off for the second half, but as I understand it he didn't play for long, he's a quality striker, he should be playing for a better club, he's much better then donkey on acid Crouch, Andy Johnson & Alan "I've got an attitude " Smith !!!

I am fed up of him getting chances for England and then doing absolutely fook all with them.

I've been saying for months now he deserves a run in the England team, but pfft, he really doesn't.

So, I can no longer defend his England place, well, not until he scores a goal or three.
