Asking for a little piece of advise

Bought my PS2 in Feb time and have had no problems until late. The machine has recently started to make a loud wurring noise, I think you all know what I mean. I believe it is the fan, but a lot louder than usual. Now I have discussed this with someone at work and they say you are suppose to take them back if that happens. Can someone confirm this or has anyone had the same problem?

Yes, Bonus is right - call Sony. If it does need replacing, they will arrange collection of your machine and delivery of a new one. For most people, this takes around 48 hours I believe.

My machine made a loud whining noise only when playing MGS2 and Starfighter, I phoned Sony and they told me it was faulty. The best thing you can do is give them a phone and see what they say.
