But at this stage, before anything can actually get played, it's all "wooo! pretty!" from all camps.

It's important to note that this is looking to be the killer Xbox FPS at, or around, launch and that it's going to be trying to cram as many players online as possible, sometimes games have to be less brilliant graphically to pull that off + a lot of new games usually look like the final ones on the previous console.
Counter-Strike on the Xbox looks like a bucket of crap but plays wonderfully well and is extremely fun.
Good gameplay + sustained fun > Graphics

Seen the pictures of other Xbox360 games? Seen what its capable of? Thats why its easy to mock those screenshots.
Rare, in my eyes, were always capable of getting the best out of every area of gaming possible. We now see what they are capable of in the graphics dapartment maybe its the same in gameplay/sound etc...lacking.
Of course that could change by launch.

One post saying it is okay for Revolution to have low specs (but with high-definition games that appears unlikely now) but mock the new Perfect Dark.
