Simple stupid question, those of you who drive, was it like a learning curve or was it just like "click" one lesson and you could do it?

I officially quit driving today until further notice, mostly because I fear for my own life whilst driving, also partly due to lack of money.

Is it just "one of those things" that some people do naturally and others struggle to adapt to, or am I just completely carp (yes, carp) at it for no understandable reason?

I got a car with Motability Finance when I was 16, took 9 lessons and drove 3,000 miles whilst learning and passed 2nd time ... 15 years ago this Monday coming.

I can do them all perfectly except round a corner. Never quite feel like I'm in control, or know what I'm doing properly.
Hope to god I don't get it on my test.

Can't think when in real life you'd ever need to reverse around a corner, anyway.

I got turn around in the road (I've actually done one of those in every single journey I've made since I passed) and parallel parking. I'm so glad I didn't get left corner reverse, because it's the only one you can't really correct if you mess up.

Which manouvers you end up with?

I'm pretty lame at corners.

I can't be bothered whining but I found everything to do with driving was against me. I had to go through three spiral roundabouts in my first.

I didn't get any practise in my parents' car either, but I passed first time. I did have about 60 hours though. And in the end I didn't even go near a roundabout :' (

It's a bit harder for me, my parents not driving and stuff so I can't have a go in their car or anything.

Aye, we're poor.

Can't remember at all

But each to their own, slow, fast, just do it when you do it.

I'm an excellent driver now.

Though, I was checking a young female out the other day and nearly went into the car infront of me.
