...Did anyone other me and HE go?

Any way. 'Twas good.

Me Without You - Was good. If only for laughing at the singer.

Fightstar - I only heard these as I was lining up at the bar for their entire set. They sounded OK though. Nothing all that special. But listenable.

Mae - I can't remember these very well. But they weren't all that brilliant.

The Lucky Nine - First band I was looking forward to. And I was right to look forward to them. They were great. Not many strong songs, but those that were, were brilliant. Hibernate still being my favourite. Shall buy their album when it comes out.

Alexisonfire - One word to describe these live : Jism. Very definitely the best band I've seen live. Go see them.

Rise Against - Aaah. My favourite band. Not perfect live. But they played Dead Ringer, which made me surprised and very happy. No Like The Angel or Broken English though :( Probably would have enjoyed them more if I hadn't have killed my self to AOF previously.

Coheed & Cambria - Naff.

Finch - Really don't live up to their recorded stuff. Nothing special again.

Funeral For A Friend - Very good live. Great fun.

Brilliant day I'd say. Although I would very much like the ability to move my neck back. Owwey :(

Did Emanuel not play? They rock.

Didn't make it, but going to see the Rise Against/Alexisonfire at the Islington Academy on Wednesday. Rise Against are bloody fantastic :)

Yeah, I was going to go to the Oxford leg of the tour. Sadly I had a film screeing come up so couldn't get tickets. Would have been good.

Same :D Wanted to go to Give it a name once I heard about it, unfortunately that was too late. Seeing Funeral for a Friend next month, unsure how excited I am about that, but Rise against/aof will be great.

So Emitime, who are Lucky Nine then? Haven't come across them yet. Any useful comparisons?

Well, take the singer from Hundred Reasons (quite literally), then put him in a really cool band. And you're there :D

I don't really know any bands that sound similar... So....

Go there, then on the small music player at the top left, skip to their song. 'Tis great.

Ah, my friend, I agree with basically all of your analysis, except for that of Finch.

They were my second favourite band of the evening, the new stuff sounds awesome.

Yes, Rise Against were awesome, Black Masks and Gasoline was insane...what a pit!

FFAF were awesome until the vocalist started being all 'dont hurt each other wah wah'.

But I must agree with you completely about Alexisonfire. Never before have I seen a band with such presence. Anyone who rides in on an aging road bike and holds it aloft is cool :-p. Everything they did was perfect. They even picked the right songs: Get Fighted, White Devil, Accidents, Control (which I thought was incredible) and No Transitory.

Ahh, what a day, I'll catch you on MSN later.

What was the new Finch material like?

More of the same or are they taking a new, harder direction?

I may have been a little dissapointed that I could get no way near any pit action because there was so many damn people in the way, and they wern't moving. But still. They were OK, just not all that brilliant.

They played Dead Ringer ^^... I was no way near a pit when that came on, so I made my own, nobody around me was happy, but I was.

Yeah. Nobody was really kicking anyone else in, so a little unecessary. But fair point.

And the whole "Every body say f*** after 3" wasn't put on Radio 1... Damn :(

Wonderful...
