Asher tried to do this a while ago and it clearly rocked ass, i thought it was a good idea so i'm going to try and revive it.
I want a group of people who can recommend one track a day which hopefully people will listen to and pass judgement on. The idea is just to introduce people to new music.
I'm planning on starting Monday with one track for each day of the week and i'll revolve the days around the people involved.

John Butler Trio song

A little too long really, I can imagine it soundtracking like a lone figure walking through an empty park after falling in love in some Good Will Hunting style film. Didn't really interest me, although it was listenable.

I could listen to Life Ain't What It Seems over and over, it's just so beautiful. That guitar is just so sexy.. and then the song picks up and starts sounding very Dave Matthews Band-ish. Such a pleasure to hear a guy sing like that with such angst for it and at different crests and troughs throughout the song that just melded so perfectly..

At first I was intimidated by the length, but I enjoyed it so much that I found I didn't want it to end. The finish, however, was quite lovely...cello! :)~

I can see where you're coming from, I can quite easily hate the lyrics, but they don't really bother me, even though most political lyrics do make me cringe. Last minute of nothing is the intro to the next song I think. Thanks for taking the time to listen to it anyway, most JBT stuff is stupidly long, should have recommended a shorter one.

The Ronan Keating remark I will ignore. :D

He can if he likes, i was looking forward to De La Soul as well before he changed it. You can change yours if you like, i'd rather you keep it because i'm also looking forward to yours as well but it's your choice.
I was tempted to go funky with Superstition by Stevie Wonder by i think i'll leave that til next time maybe.
