Heh. Clean shaven and longer haired now, but the basic gist is spot on. I've already made plans to convert the loft into a war room...

Hmm...well, I'm not averse to single player deathkill either. I'm just rather rubbish at it (with the exception of Star Wars Battlefront, where my good friend Tim suffered at the hands of snipers....).

Loved FarCry. Well, up until the appalling ending / final level................
I just sat their and thought. "What!?" It was like watching the greatest movie even, only to find out the ending sucks. Just like what will happen with Watchmen, if the script ever gets filmed.
But there are set-pieces there to rank with the best of them.
My favourite still was the "thrown out the helicopter with no weapons" section, 1 M16 and 1 clip with a Trigen coming at you.
Fantastic game and made me splash out on new graphics card and memory just to play it.
In fact, I'm off to play it now.

Yeah, can't disagree with that. Personal favorite? Wacking on godmode, stealing the jeep on the opening level, flying towards enemies and bailing out.
I never get bored of ragdoll physics generated blokes bouncing off trees.

...which is why you're typing from the safe confines of a secure unit.

Damn, if there was a tool to pick up the bodies at key points (head, torso, left leg etc) I'd spend all day whacking them off rocks and stuff. The physics fascinate me (incredibly difficult to code though, most I managed was a column of stacking boxes.)
Like a cat playing with a mouse...................
That would be funny. I think it would be expensive too if they did.

Progress my dear boy. Progress.
Monkey Island 2 came on 12 amiga floppy disks. People complained thay had to buy a hard drive.

Isn't that what the Grav Gun will do? looks like one of the finest in-game weapons ever conceived.
The physics engine in Half life 2 still looks impressive despite other developers nicking from it. Just playing the Office map on Counter Strike: Source, shooting out keys from key boards, the individual motherboards, Ram chips and 3D cards from Pc's then sitting back and admiring the destruction when a grenade causes huge a amount of objects to go flying about the place.
It's amazing how much something as seemingly unimportant as a physics engine can enhance a game.
