Not so. I remember testing a load of DVD's on it to see if every one didn't work and about one in ten were fine.
I seem to remember LOTR: Fellowship was one of the ones that was ok.

Ah, that sorta happened to me with my copy of the Incredibles. The screen kept going red, it gets really annoying, all the other films are OK though
Thats all i really know about this. Sorry I cant help any more than that.
Just to stress one point. Its the "Macrovision" that you are trying to bypass. If you can get a player that does, it should work fine.

I remember seeing advertisements a few years back for regular DVD players that could be "chipped" to avoid the copy protection for cases such as your own. I've no idea if this can be done for the PS2 and have no idea of the price, but as far as I am aware, messing with the inside of the hardware is the only way to get around this.
