I've done many things at college: been a lead role, played someone HIV Positive, done street theatre, been a panto character, taught school children, been a lead in a dance show. But this is by far the most complex role I've ever been faced with, and possibly always will be.
How do I step into this role? What's it like to be suicidal? You're seventeen, got a girlfriend who really cares for you (Who dies in your arms), what's your motivation?

Because without her he would likely get bored after a while, by her being there he's got someone to keep him company, entertain him, maybe he's happier with her there and so he stays.

She's just enjoying being with him, having a purpose, i dont expect she starts by thinking about dying, just that she's happy where she is and doesn't want to leave.

How does her death help him? It doesn't, therefore she is not dying for him.

It is odd but like you say it's not an instant death, have you ever had on of those moments that you hope never end, thats what i'm thinking here, just to lay in bed with your boyfriend/girlfriend forever, with no interuptions and the whole world dissappearing because all you have is whats in the room. It's not something thats easy to understand but the more i think about it the more i'm starting to get her behaviour as well.

You'd be suprised, you can't make someone want to live and if you knew they can't be saved then you would have to accept their choice and if you love them support them.

No, you'd call the hospital, force him to eat, try to save his life. You wouldn't just be lazy and think, oh, this starving yourself looks fun, I think I'll give it a go too.
