AMD Athlon 64 3000+ socket 754, 512Kb cache
EPoX Mainboard nForce3 250, SATA etc.
Corsair Value S PC3200 512Mb RAM
Dabs.com Value Gaming case w/480W PSU, black.

Kind of a step-down from what I intended, but hey, situations change rapidly!

Still happy with it, and with the X850, I'll be happy with it for quite a while :D

Sempron's are cack, basically the new Duron to compete with the Intel Celeron. For low-end users. Avoid..stick to Athlon 64..they are kick-ass CPU's. I noticed a massive leap when I moved to Athlon 64.

Are Sempron's any good? Or should I stick on the 64 track.

Ah, I'll probably pass then, I'm kind of on a deadline as I'm building my own PC and another using my old Shuttle - I can't be computerless in between!

I'll have to also get my new GPU too because it will be PCI-E :S I'll have to have a good think tomororw if it can be done. I rekon I'll probs not do it until may.

So I'll be selling (either this month or on 20th of May when my big paycheck comes)

MSI K8T Neo FSR Motherboard.

If I don't get/have enough I'll have to wait another month.

EDIT: I take it you have Ram? If not I can do you a good deal on that too. All works flawlessly in this rig I'm on now :)

haha very true. I'm tempted to go for a PCI-E setup now. Grab a £80 board and an Athlon 64 3500+ 939 CPU for £270. I'm selling my old kit if your interested. The CPU I've got is the 1mb Cache Clawhammer (Athlon 64 3200+ Socket 754) which you can't buy now as AMD cut the cache size down on all AMD CPU's until you get to the 3800 I think. So I've got a little Gem. I'll see what funds are like tomorrow and if you are interested I'll do you a good deal :) Saves you blowing loads considering what I'm selling is pretty top end still.

Nah, not yet. The PCI-E X850XT PE costs more :P
