There's no point in having a game such as Half-Life 2 without not box or manual, it just doesn't feel right. Its like if you were a kid you want a happy meal but you don't get no toy rather dissapointing in my opinion.

Whoo!!! Just discovered that I had enough untransfered funds in my paypal account - just purchased the collector's edition for £39.00 - that includes P&P!! A certain Hong-Kong based

(I had to have Halflife: Source having never played the original!!)

So there's no way (yet) of gettting a package with DoD other than through Steam?

Unfortuanatly. There's a good chance it'll get a seperate release later, possibly retail as well given that the orignal DoD got it's very own full priced release, but I don't see that happening for a while yet. I don't even know if DoD is being released at the same time as HL2.

I believe the collector's editon includes this, and should be available in the UK very soon I have seen a UK stockist offering it for £49.00...
