Hey, at least things will get done. It makes me sick listening to the false promises and pathetic squabbling by the opposing candidates.

I shan't be wasting any of my time voting this year, much like last general election.

And these patronising conservative billboards with handwritten 'make sense' slogans just serve to illustrate how fickle our leaders are.

Now, if a party pledged to give me back the 15 grand I forked out for my sub-standard higher education, I might be tempted to draw an 'X' in their box.

It implies that communism isn't democratic, which isn't necessarily the case.

I wouldn't say the sentance structure ties one to a direct opposite.

the theory of communism is a democratic process, so you can't "sod democracy and give communism a try", because they are one and the same. What he means is either "sod capitalism lets give communism a try" or "sod democracy lets give dictatorship a try"
