Because it's a violation of a cats human rights. Kicking a cat may not affect you as a person but it's against the law and can cause distress in others that may be watching. These others also might decide to take action also putting you at risk.

Okay. We have established that it will not be appreciated by the cat.
How does this affect me? If I derive pleasure from kicking the cat, why should I care about what it does to the cat?

Iv'e seen a cat been kicked and it's not nice. Therefore you have some raw data that cats do not like to be kicked.

I haven't actually kicked the cat, ergo I do not know that it will scream. Nor have I observed a cat being kicked, so I cannot logically conclude that this will happen. Have you kicked a cat yourself to see what it does, or are you assuming the outcome of such an event?

Actually Chr1s it's your closed mind and retarded posts that are making this stupid. If you would care to look it's actually an intelligent debate on if kicking a cat is right and you've come in here with your "OMG U MONSTER" views. Open your mind son, open your mind.
