My kids do not here me swear in our home life so why should they be able read it on the forum? I do swear at work though but only in adult company and not in front of customers.
Do others feel the same way or should swearing be accepted as the norm on a forum?
its not rude.. or clever or funny it would seem

Yeh and thats not a good way to keep us on here is it?
If you feel the need to swear put two letters in comment marks like so:
[ST] [FK] [BO] [CU]
Then you're not starring anything out, everyone knows what it means but noone can claim it as offensive because it just looks stupid.
The end.
I swear more than most people I know, but also realise there's a time and a place for it - eg. I don't swear in front of my Mum. I don't seem to find it at all difficult to refrain from swearing on here either.
I am just as bothered by bad spelling, bad grammar and punctuation and the lack of a capital letter at the start of a sentence as I am by swearing though. I know it has nothing to do with intelligence and I can't help it, but it does affect my opinion of other forum users.

I think thats why they ban or warn users and that brings you back to the start of the thread again, no need to swear. :-)
