Wario Ware, Mario 64 and then a load of filler crap are hardly gonna get the hardware flying off the shelves. Judging by the release schedule as well, there won't be any decent games out for a while afterwards either.
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't pi** on fire to put any of the PSP software out. But MGS and all the other *cool* games are surely gonna tempt the public more than Pokemon dash?
Please tell me I'm wrong and GAME release list is a load of ass.

There was a PSP shortage...

It isn't just 8 normal weeks though is it. The launch week is in there too.
When a big console is launched you can expect a million to sell by lets say the end of week 3.
70,000 consoles sold 8 weeks after the console is released is rather stunning! Considering the DS is selling 40,000. And that's a damn good result too.
The DS had shipped a million systems by the end of week 3. The PSP? 290,000.
Saying that weekly sales have been good but overall sales are bad is...nonsensical at best.
"It's great that it sells X amount per week, but if we multiply this by the number of weeks it has been out, the total is actually poor, however the weekly sales have still been excellent..."

Glad to see it has a bit of excitement.

Yeah I know, according to many rumour mongers including the reputable www.computerandvideogames.com.
I came across this mocked up pic that shows an idea:

70,000 in a week is incredible, but 723,000 in 8 weeks isn't? How does that one work out?

Zelda: Four Swords has already been confirmed.

"yey"
That'd be amazing.
