So with a new PC comes along new ways. You see, on this PC I'll automatically open up Internet Explorer without a thought for the Internet. But when the new PC comes along I hope to break that habit.
So with that, I was thinking, what other programs are there that I SHOULD be using? Or just programs that are essential to have and you always find yourself using?

Open Firefox and on the address bar write about:config and hit enter
find the string
network.http.pipelining
double click and change the value to true
find the string
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
double click and change the value to 34
find the string
browser.turbo.enabled
double click and change the value to true
close and restart and see the new amazingly new speed of firefox...
To reset settings,
Right click on the setting you want to reset, the click on reset in the context menu.
For second, the interface is nicer.
It has less issues, and doesn't screw up as much.
It's no microsoft.
It's skinable.
It has plugins.
It's free!

MMJB is the same. If you chose to buy the deluxe version, you get an amazing set of extra options and tools and stuff.
For music playing, I'd suggest Quintessential Player. it's just a 1/4 of the screen type thing, like Winamp used to be, and its the best music player I've ever had. Simple, easy to navigate and lots of lovely skins too.
