"GT3 and Steering Wheels"

I was going to get the official Sony PS2 Fanatec steering wheel the other day but thought I'd hang on till GT3 was released, then read somewhere that GT3 will only be fully compatible with another steering wheel!

Does anyone

a) know if this is true
b) everyone's happy playing with their controllers

or

c) I'm just the last person to get a steering wheel :-)

Roughly 50% of the people who have bought GT3 in Japan have bought it with the packaged steering wheel.

I get the feeling that some people that buy the steering wheels also purchase rumble-vests, play flight sims with their hands-free phone headsets on and wear crash helmets for Mario Kart

Not sure if it's the Fanatec one, but GT3 is compatible (and will also be available packaged with) a genuine force-feedback wheel.

Personally I don't have a desk to put a wheel on, so I'm happy with the Dual Shock 2.

Nope not ture, but you'll probably be able to pick the two up as a special deal when GT3 comes out, or F1 2001.
