Some one needs to cover those yards the flair players concede! This is actually the first time ive looked at the real team in about 5 or 6 years and thought it looked reasonably well balanced. Now they have lost the 1-1-8 formation they might actually do well.
Theoretically when the teams fit they will now have a decent defence, something they hadn't had in ages. When they had to midfielders (helguera and hierro) as centre backs and were pretty much entirely dependent on makalele stopping the ball reaching the defence because carlos was marking the oppositions 6 yard box. Now with Gravesen shielding the defence, and woodgate in reality a new signing for when he's fit; paired with Samuel they will be defensively solid even with some uber-aggresive wingbacks.
I know his contract was still set to expire, and that £2m+ was therefore a good price to get, but surely, that's their season over already?
Why couldn't he have stayed the rest of the season?
After all, following Rooney's transfer, it's not like they're in desperate need of money, now, is it!
I hope he gives Beckham a real run for his money and I hope he makes his time their very good indeed.
It was good.
David Moyes clearly has a dislike for individuals who are reported to be carrying the team almost signle-handedly at times.
Perhaps this means they'll only grow from strength-to-strength again??

First of all, we can all see that for whatever reason Arsenal are very good in the FA. And our reserves practically won the League Cup last year...but...err...the point was that we suck in CL.
If it wasn't for Cole header, we would've been out at the group stages, let alone get as far as we did. Again we hardly looked like defo's and the odds on favorites that we were hyped up to be. SO for that sake, the points are valid.

Taking into account race riots in Brixton, and the BNP in Bradford, I must be a racist because I live in the UK?
What?
