it will prob influence my decision being a sony fan
they both have there pros and cons, im suporting the psp cause im a sony fan and it does mp3
the psp is more powerfull and plays mp3 but its battery does not last that long
the DS does have a battery that does not run out as fast and is cheaper, it does have two screens but that does not appeal to me i id rather have one big screen, touch screen will prob not be that good for gaming
DS does look a bit ugly but the nice big screen on the psp will get smashed up cause there is no protection

amen to that brother.yes sony will face many problems and the ds wont.
And the PSP beatend by the GBA SP (no stats for the normal GBA?), how lovely.
1.) Nintendo DS - 252,000 | 1,095,000
2.) PlayStation 2 - 145,000 | 466,000
3.) Game Boy Advance SP - 111,000 | 286,000
4.) PSP - 92,000 | 339,000
5.) GameCube - 54,000 | 129,000
The DS has beat even Nintendo's latest projections with well over a million sold plus Mario 64 DS is sitting pretty at No. 2 in the Jap All-Formats behind Dragon Quest, with Wario Ware at no. 6. There are no PSP games in the chart.
Nintendo are also planning to use their ultimate handheld weapon next year against the PSP to a massive extent. Pokémon. Pokémon Dash and Emerald hit the US in the Spring, a new GBA "product" launching, Game Freak's head has made a 100% committment to the two new DS titles coming out next year in Japan and US which apparently are very different games to what is expected.
Plus there's also a new movie and theme park in Japan and that new Cube game worked on by 'strong allies'.
Complacancy is not an issue. Nintendo are taking this very seriously.

You don't fear anything!
You're LOVING this! :-P
:-D
Seriously though, I think that Sony are merely testing the water.
The PSP will fall on it's flaws but Sony will be back with vengance.
Having said that, despite their genius marketing of the PSOne, they also made full use of Nintendo and Sega's complacency at that time.
Nintendo currently show none of that complacency.
Sony might never crack the handheld market now.
> Mario Kart: Super Circuit was a stroke of pure genius.
