This is tradegy of a phenominal scale. I cannot even contemplate that many human lives ending at once, and on christmas. Its a sick thing.

127,000 was the final count, although its feared it was somewhere closer to 150,000. All I want to add is not to those who died, but for the survivors, I hope things don't get to hard for you and I wish you the best of luck.

I thought that some scientists did know but were unable to tell all of the people.

The coverage on ITV just looked amazing, the waves were immense. Many people didn't seem to be scared at first and just stood on the beaches watching the waves come in and some were filming it.

It's 25,000 dead at the moment.

I thought it was more like 11,000, although I haven't looked at the news lately...

Are you sure that figure is accurate? It seems a bit large.

30,000 missing in some place aswell.

It's one of those things that would have been written about in a holy book.

Yea I'm still waiting to here how this links to doomsday and was prophesised...

I cant even begin to understand how religious people relate natural disasters and God together when the processes of the Earth are explained so well.
