Apparently the main criticism is that even when full, no proper atmosphere can be generated at all. This is to do with the fact that the stands are about 3 miles away from the pitch.

So Juve are getting a new stadium in around 2006 - estimated 40,000 capacity, and much more like the San Siro in terms of distance from the pitch.

And Azul, it was 6,000 against Ajax in the CL, and 6,500 against Maccabi.

I've come to prefer Italian Football to the Spanish game, mainly because of Channel 4's former Football Italia show, every Saturday morning (even though, I've always had the other option on Sky).

Since that stopped, though, I've barely given a single thought about either game - especially since tarts like Beckham and Owen have invaded the plain on Spain and Italian sides got hit heavily in the financial department.

I saw the file name to begin with, but was a little dissapointed to see it's not a sound-bite of Andy Gray from when Steven Gerrard struck that 'beauty' in Europe the other week. :)

I agree.

Shevva, although I hate to admit it, is a great player and goalscorer.
But he doesn't have that ingenius creativity that Ronaldinho possesses.

I downloaded this amazing 150mb video of Maradona v Ronaldinho the other day, and there was some mind boggling stuff there. I think that's probably what swayed me in the end.

But indeed, had this been around when Henry was absolutely ripping Premiership defences apart... I dunno.

But yeah, Ronaldinho over Shevva any day I think. Like I said, it's Ronaldinho's ability to make something out of absolutely nothing.

And of course, it's his approach to the game. Against Madrid in that 3-0 win, he had shots that went wide etc.
But he didn't go "oh ffs, wtf stfu" and stuff, and put on an ANGRY FASE.
He grinned away inanely which is something I admire greatly.
He seems to play the game like he would've when he was a kid. Because of what it is - a game. He loves every minute of it.

And as for the Delle Alpi - yeah, I think it looks great.
But the problem is, according to the fans and stuff, that the seats etc are too far away from the pitch, particularly behind the goals (which you can blatantly see).

Hopefully when they reduce the capacity from 70k to around 40-50k (ffs), it'll be much better, and the place will start filling again.

But until then, it's going to get slagged.
The Milan games were the only times that it didn't look empty this season.
The CL games were empty as well.

There was something like 3k was it against Ajax?
Or was it 15k

I dunno.
It wasn't near 70k anyway.

Ha.

Yeah, I guess.

Neddie's having a great season (excluding AC). He's easily one of my favorite players of any side.

Shame you lost Davids. He was a real driving force in the midfield. Don't quite know what the dispute was with him, but I prefer him in the mix than Emerson.

"sort of picking up form..."

ie, "I'm a Juve fan. I know he's been pretty sh*t lately, and that he hasn't played a full match in a while. He hasn't really s**tarted that often either. But I'm a Juve fan - you think I'm going to say that and betray my beloved?"

So do I. I'd love to see either Juve, Milan or Inter play live this year.

The Champs League might make this possible.

*prays*

I was more wondering whether you'd been to Delle Alpi and what you thought of it. It gets completely slagged into the ground, yet it looks fine to me.

Maybe I'll pay a visit later on when they're going to build a new one.

Good luck.

I did ask for your view, cos I'm well read on the subject and was just wondering where a Juve fan thinks the blame should be laid. Agricola, players, etc.

I would hardly say he's playing that well at all at the moment.
