BBC and Sky are reporting that the Pool have tabled a bid of £3.5 million for Morientes. But Real want £7 mill, which I don't think we have. Unless we accept the Morgan bid. Which we should.

I will be happy if Morientes comes to Anfield. Because, let's face it, he's awesome. And quite Spanish enough.

Well, I was hopeful at that point. Mikey said he had the new contract sorted, he was happy. Then it all happened so fast, it still hurts now. But I'm hopeful of Cisse when he gets back (because he is quick like panther, as the Times put it), and I've poured all my Mikey-love into Milan, and everyone knows Morientes is awesome. And, of course, I've still got a soft spot for Mikey. All these strikers are better than Defoe ;)

And as for Stevie, everyone knows his Anfield love is much stronger than Mikey's. Stevie deserves trophies, as does Mikey.

If this deal goes through, Real Madrid have demanded first refusal on Steven Gerrard.
