BBC and Sky are reporting that the Pool have tabled a bid of £3.5 million for Morientes. But Real want £7 mill, which I don't think we have. Unless we accept the Morgan bid. Which we should.
I will be happy if Morientes comes to Anfield. Because, let's face it, he's awesome. And quite Spanish enough.

When Defoe has a record in the Premiership like Michael Owen, then you've got the right to mock. Baros is your only striker at the moment, and he's got a good midfield providing him. We, however, have 3 strikers who are scoring quite consistently at the moment, Kanoute's bagged 3 in 4 or something and Keane isn't far behind.
As for Defoe just having 'a spell' lmao. He's been consistenting good for us since mid way through last season. A patch? No.
For England, he's been quality the whole, just not getting the goals. Yes, a striker can play well without scoring. Maybe his goals per game isn't as good as Baros but I'm damn sure his contribution to the team is a lot greater.
Also, Defoe is better than Cisse, I don't care what you say, he quite clearly is. He started 10 games for you before his injury. He scorer two, and yes, one of these was against 'OMG SPURS R SO S**T!!!111'. Not exactly the greatest signing ever, eh Stryke.

Defoe has played 1405 Minutes. 9 Goals.
Baros has played 932 Minutes. 8 Goals.
