I will be happy if Morientes comes to Anfield. Because, let's face it, he's awesome. And quite Spanish enough.
Oh, and we'll have Beattie by then :p

Yes, I know not anymore, than why I said "for years", not "now."

Mm, lot's have people have crashed and burned over the years because Mikey has scored more than them. Thierry Henry? Nothing now. Alan Shearer? No-one cares about him. When Defoe has a record in the Premiership like Michael Owen, then you've got the right to mock. Until then, you focus on your pet striker and ignore the fact that he's not even been at your club for a year. How fickle.

He's gone, get over it.

Yet not anymore, as you were kindly comparing Owen to him last night for me.
When Owen's scoring more than you, that's when you know your career is in trouble.
As for Defoe just having 'a spell' lmao. He's been consistenting good for us since mid way through last season. A patch? No.
For England, he's been quality the whole, just not getting the goals. Yes, a striker can play well without scoring. Maybe his goals per game isn't as good as Baros but I'm damn sure his contribution to the team is a lot greater.
Also, Defoe is better than Cisse, I don't care what you say, he quite clearly is. He started 10 games for you before his injury. He scorer two, and yes, one of these was against 'OMG SPURS R SO S**T!!!111'. Not exactly the greatest signing ever, eh Stryke.
Looks like you're gonna have a hard job getting Morientes anyway, Monaco want him, and I'm sure they'll fork out a lot more than the pitiful £3.5 million you're offering for him. That really would be daylight robbery.

Oh come on, comments like that make you sound so stupid.
Defoe has played 1405 Minutes. 9 Goals.
Baros has played 932 Minutes. 8 Goals.
What that equates to, is that Baros is a hell of a lot better than Defoe, who Alec praises to the high heavens.
Also, we're getting Morientes. The same Morientes who Spurs tried to get 2 seasons ago to get the fans of the boards' backs.
Defoe, he's done nothing. Played a few times for England when he hit a patch of form, but it was soon realised that wasn't going to work. And now he's got 2 strikers who are clearly better ahead of him, and if you took a poll of non-Spurs/Man U fans, I bet you'd find that people think Alan Smith is better. I certainly do.
And as for Cisse, we'll see next season. I also note you don't mention Mikey or Baros in your post. I don't even need to argue the case for a European Footballer of the Year or the Euro 2004 Golden Boot winner, do I? Excellent, you are young, but you are learning.
