Actually there is.
*ahem*
If we just pretend for a minute that you did have a girlfriend and that you did decide to get married, you would have more love and respect for your mother and your friends than you would for her?
Also, you say that you should be willing to die for your mother and your friends...surely your wife/partner IS your friend too? Saying otherwise is just stupid.

That's not an excuse. I'll put it in another way: Let's suppose a mother had 6 kids, is it a common thing that she would throw away the stupid ones, and only keep the smart ones ? Even mothers who have mentally retarded children still love them.

Yes it is.

It is typical, that's all.

Now that's screwed up.

There is no scientific proof.

I'm not confused. Actually in both cases it is attraction, it's just that your mind can't accept it in some cases when there are some things you don't like about the person, so you just call it attraction, and when you get too close to that person, this attraction increases till your mind accepts it, then you decide to call it love.
EDIT: Also about hoping that I would find love someday, when I read that I burst into laughing for more than 2 minutes.
Love exists eh? well thats a relief. lol. Id be interested to know more about this sceintific proof.
homosh, dont get confused between love an attraction. you can love someone AND be attracted to them (married couples), you can love someone and NOT be attracted to someone (friends and relations) , or you can be attracted to someone but not love them (that girl with big hooters who glared at me the other night), and of course you can neither love someone or be attracted to them (my parents). Thats a very rough generalisation, but....eh. When you say a girl is sexy, its attraction. When I say Id die for a girl, its love. I hope you find love one day. lol.
