Looks quite good and its £190, so cheaper than the 'pod.

Im happy with my iPod, the battery has run out about 3 times when ive wanted to play something, ive had it about a year. The battery is no issue for me.

I had a look at the Zen Touch today. Looks very nice and I'll hopefully have it in my grasps tomorrow.

I think the Zen is pretty independent, not just *another* product turned off an assembly line of which there are 20,000 different products, etc.

At least the sweatshop where the Zens are made don't deal with that many different things, and the stuff they make is generally sound products.

Basically get anything, Ipod, Zen, Iriver etc... JUST NOT the corporate piece of shiiite that is the Sony.

If you've ever used the Sony Sonicstage software you will know how it can push sane men (and women) to edge of keyboard/mouse/monitor destruction.

Kyle's getting a Zen I think.

If battery life is a major issue then go with the Zen - the iPod battery is better than it was, but the Zen is still better.

Don't bother with the Sony - they've entered the arena too late and it's crap anyway.
