There are covers at the back to hide all the cables, its quite ingenious.

It's taking a bit of getting used to though, from a 14" TFT at 1024*768 to a 19" at 1280*1024. Its considerably brighter than the old one too.

I assume you've got the Hyundai ImageQuest L90D

Was looking at that myself just on the response time! Does it have DVI?

Refresh rate on a TFT doesn't matter, the images don't fade anywhere near as fast as CRT's do. A high refresh rate on a TFT won't gain you anything.

What will, is a low response time - how long it takes the TFT to update the image being displayed. If you've got a high response time, it leads to 'ghosting'. I'd say you don't want to go over 15ms if you can help it, and preferably 12, but that's just my opinion.

If you're into graphics it's worthing looking at the dot pitch/pixel pitch - the lower the better. This affects the sharpness of the graphics on screen, and is relevant for both TFT's and CRT's. If you work with graphics, you'll want something not much over 0.2mm, otherwise I'd say anything up to 0.25mm is good. Personally, I wouldn't touch anything that's approaching 0.3mm. Dot pitch tends to be higher on larger CRT monitors so it's well worth looking out for, I'm not so sure about TFT's.
