I'm wanting to get myself a 20gb iPod this xmas and I'm selling various things (ps2, cds, my body, etc) to pay for it.

I'm wondering, however, where's the best place to buy one from price wise, escept I don't trust eBay sellers for something as expensive as this.

the Apple website says $299, which I deduced with an online currency converter to be round £165, and if I'm not wrong I can get 10% off any apply produce with my NUS card, which will cut it down to more or less £150.

(Please, correct me here if I am wrong)

So give me some 'pod advice, ideas of prices and retailers, etc.

Thankuu.

The cheapest way to get an iPod:-

1. Dig out your old tape cassette walkman
2. Paint it completely white using tipex.
3. Paint the headphones and cable white, also using tipex.

Voila.

According to PriceRunner, you can get a 20Gb Zen Touch for £160-ish.

Ok cheers.

I'll give the Zen a looksie.

How much am I looking at for the 20gb model of the Zen?

I'm saying about £200 for the 'pod as a rough estimate, so the Zen would have to impress me price-wise to make me think of that.

You won't get more than about £10 off the normal price for an iPod anywhere else on the 'net.

You can't buy from the Apple US store as they require a credit card with a US billing address and customs will stomp on your ass, too.

There are alternatives available like the Zen - http://www.creative.com/products/welcome.asp?category=213
